May 17 My new blogHave been thinking to move to a more flexible space.
So, here's my new address.
Do drop by. :) Never take things for grantedI have learned.
To appreciate things I have today.
To be grateful for the free coffee, lunches and dinners.
To take care of people around me- even for the people who are not thoughtful enough.
To love my parents ever more... I feel happy when they are happy.
To live happily, even when I'm all alone.
I wish to say "Thank You", friends, for every little things that you have done to brighten my days.
From my heart.
May 07 I've grown up :)It is GC's birthday today. Since she's not working, we went to One Utama for her facial treatment and some window shopping.
Spotted this really nice skirt from Zara.
Nice-- because I look nice in it. See the skirt below. :P
![]() And then I looked at the price tag, RM 169.90.
Frankly speaking, it is an OK price. It is equivalent to 36 Euro. How easy it is to spend a 30 Euro everytime I go to Germany, I thought to myself.
Just when I almost wanted to get it, I gave it a second thought.
At this stage of my life, I can and cannot afford alot of things.
I have bought so many things just because they give me a good feeling.
Do I really need them?
There and then, my wisdom hit me! I gently returned the skirt to the sales person.
There are certain things in life, that you cannot measure in value.
That is, the act of wisdom and maturity.
I've grown up. :)
May 06 The QuestionUnder the dim light, over a simple take-home dinner, my fave hite beer, and the noise of Ugly Betty from the TV, he suddenly prompted the question.
Not that I did not expect him to ask. But when he finally did, I did not know how to react.
Thanks for asking, anyway.
I believe the feeling is mutual.
So please, give me some time.... Cosmetic surgery?A friend and I went to a "clinic" in Mid Valley yesterday.
She has heard about this place from a friend.
We stepped in. The place looks quiet, serious, but nicely designed. Ofcourse-- beauty is their profession.
My friend filled out some forms, and the "consultant" started asking questions.
We were thinking of a double eyelid surgery. It is soooo common in Korea, it doesn't feel wrong doing it.
She explained about the tecnics used, the recovery time, and ofcourse, the charges.
And then, my friend asked about nose!
For a second, I thought she is crazy!!!
The consultant then replied in delight, "Most of the people who do double eyelid will have their nose done at the same time. Your whole look will change after this. Your friend will forget about how you used to look, and they will mostly feel that you have become prettier now just because of the eyes."
I was terrified. Speechless, just by the thought of it.
Came home and looked at myself at the mirror. Do I need it?
Another friend told me that nobody is perfect. I agree. Every person comes in a different, but original package. This package, if you try to alter, it would become a modified, fake, or pirated package. Can you imagine dating someone who's got her nose and breasts done? Would you rather date a flat-chested girl? This thought is, yeeew, disgusting.
And so, I told myself. I am lucky and happy enough. I don't want to change.
Beauty is my profession too.
May 03 People who smile a lot, cry a lot too.I woke up with a heavy head.
For a few seconds, I wonder where I am.
Then, I look at the phone for local time.
I have not charged the phone. I have to do it or I cannot make call when I'm back later.
Head is heavy. I remember crying the night before.
Tried to make phone calls to someone whom I thought would listen to me, but to no avail, there was no answer.
Perhaps he's sleeping? I have no idea what time it is, in the world that he lives in. I don't even know where exactly he is, right now.
To my best friend, que sera, sera.
April 27 Spring, oh spring!April 15 That 7cm shoes and my new friends! :)I've brought my 7cm company shoes along for my two-weeks. And the only thing I did, was that I have reconfirmed that I cannot fit into these shoes when my feet are blown up, right after flight. I wore them for two days and they hurt!!! Luckily I have my 5cm comfy shoes along. Might have to change the 7cm to size 250, will that help?
Have got a new cut on my right index finger, a sizeable bruise on my right thigh. But hey! I've also made new friends, Claire and Rachel from Australia. Yesterday's flight was indeed a fun one. There was this huge family of about 6 adults and 8 children travelling from Sydney to Frankfurt. The little girls are too adorable! Two of them made friends with a Korean girl and the Korean girl gave them some cup noodles from Korea. And then I accidentally found out that the Korean girl actually wrote a note to the Aussie girl, here's what she wrote:
Dear Rachel,
I hope you like the cup noodle from Korea.
Cooking method
1. Remove the lid.
2. Put hot water in the cup.
3. Wait for 3 minutes.
4. You can eat.
.................. (i cannot remember what she wrote after this)
From your friend in Korea,
Jenny
Awwww! Isn't it sweet? Kids are so naive, they make friends without looking at your skin color and what language you speak. Unlike us, (I mean myself?), who are being too racist and prejudiced these days. Hmmm... not good. (but then, I cannot stand their stupidity ler, how!)
April 11 A prank callI'm having a very bad, upset stomach today. In fact, I've visited the toilet more than three times since last night! But I gotta fly-- it's work. How!
Someone called up my room yesterday.
"Can I speak to Ms.Tong?"
"Yes, speaking."
"Hi, my name is William. I am calling from the Malaysia Embassy in Seoul. It has brought to our attention that, your passport is a fake one."
"Nooo! How can it be?"
"The immigration has alerted us and I am calling to help you on this... Now, is it possible that you come to the Embassy tomorrow morning?"
"I'm afraid not. I have to work tomorrow..."
"You just arrived in Korea this morning right? What time is your flight tomorrow? Your passport has been banned. I believe the immigration will not allow you to go out anymore..."
"Flight is at 7.05PM, and I need to be in office by 4PM. Where's the Embassy, by the way?"
"It is at Jalan QU."
"I have no idea where it is..."
"Ms.Tong, you must come tomorrow, and speak to this man who can help you on this. His name is Liong."
------Followed by my shouting in shock.
OMG! A prank! How can I even believe it when you said your Embassy is at Jalan QU! (it is Korea, there should not be a single Jalan here!)
But the fact that you made effort to look up for my hotel number is impressive. Thanks for calling.
Wait, till I go back... :)
Stomach pain again! :(
